Why is most of the world still far behind the AI transformation frontier?

We talk a lot about AI on here.

It is going to change the world and reset the job market.

However.

I had to go to the dentist today and was asked to fill in a form with a pen. I had already given them half the information and someone will now rekey it all in.

Most of the world is in this state, one where we have not fully digitised basic processes. Why is there not an accessible and secure medical record for me, that I can choose to share with people?

AI has a very long and interesting runway ahead of it but there is still lots of basic work to do!

The velocity of AI will be determined by the rate of human adoption, not the rate of technological advancement.
